A spherical roller thrust bearing is a type of rotary rolling-element bearing that supports heavy axial loads in one direction, while rotating with low friction and without angular misalignment. These bearings have an inner ring with a sphered convex outside surface and an outer ring with a correspondingly sphered concave inside surface. The raceways in the outer ring are common to both rings and are aligned with the bearing axis.
